Purchased By Me
Hi everyone! Well, it’s officially Hurricane Season here in Florida and with the season comes my nemesis…lack of sunlight due to almost daily rain. I really dislike this time of year in Miami for many reasons, but it’s also terrible for swatching. So excuse my subpar sunlight swatches. It actually took me three days to get this post together if you can believe that! But here it finally is, and it was quite an exciting one to put together.
Today I will be showing you two special polishes by Glam Polish, May The Fourth Be With You and The Force Unleashed. And yes, I have comparison shots! May The 4th Be With You is a special Star Wars themed limited edition shade that was available in very limited quantities on “Star Wars Day,” May 4, 2017. It is an intense silver holographic with pink/gold multichrome flakes, red/gold/green multichrome flakes, and ultra holographic glitters. The Force Unleashed is another Star Wars themed limited edition shade that Glam Polish released in response to May The 4th Be With You selling out so very quickly. It is an intense silver holographic with sapphire/wine/gold shifting flakes, purple/blue/red shifting flakes, and ultra holographic glitters. At the time of this writing, it is still available for purchase here.
Nail polish “muggles” would not be able to distinguish between the two polishes (I know because I spent a day with one on one hand and one on the other asking several people if they saw a difference and all said they did not). The two are similar in all aspects except that they contain two different types of shifting flakes as Glam does not have the original flakes available. This gives them a very different look overall, in my opinion. May The 4th Be With You appears to have a gold flash, while The Force Unleashed appears to have a purple flash. This is most obvious when the light hits the flakes. There were times, though, when I couldn’t quite distinguish between them either.
Both of these are opaque in two coats, have an excellent formula, are smooth with one coat of top coat, and are pretty easy to remove considering there is glitter present. On to the photos!

So now you see what I mean when I say that sometimes you can barely see a difference and others, they are clearly different. I really hope this post is helpful, I know a few people asked me to do this and I’m sorry it took a few extra days. Overall, I have to say I love both of these polishes. I’m glad I went for it and got them both. Before I wore them, I thought maybe they’d be so similar that I wouldn’t need to keep both, or that I’d have one I really loved more than the other. Not the case! I’m going to have to be greedy this time.
