I am so happy to be showing this collection tonight! I can’t even express how grateful and blessed I am to have been given this opportunity. This is the Illyrian Polish Summer 2017 Collection and it consists of seven brand new shades, one of which is a thermal! Illyrian is one of my favorite brands and this collection definitely fits right in with their usual complexity and beauty. This collection, along with June’s COTM, Moonbow, is releasing on Friday, June 30th at 6PM Central. The formula on every single one of these is amazing, and I have no staining or difficult removal to report. In the case of a more jelly formula, I have used three thin coats, otherwise I have used two coats. Please enjoy these stunners!
Illyrian Polish Lyra
Two Coats Plus Top Coat
Sunlight (first three images) & Artificial Lighting (last two images)
Lyra is a bright turquoise/mint/seafoam polish with strong light green shimmer that lightly shifts to a rose gold and holo hex glitters that flash blue and gold. This polish absolutely glows from within and is the first to show off these gorgeous little glitters that run through part of this collection. They are very easy to remove and dry down smooth.
Illyrian Polish Phoenix
Two Coats Plus Top Coat
Sunlight (first two images) & Artificial Lighting (last two images)
Phoenix is a super unique and gorgeous dark magenta pink polish with a very heavy copper shimmer and those beautiful holo hex glitters. I just love these glitters! And I loved this polish so much that I had to wear it overnight.
Illyrian Polish Polaris
Two Coats Plus Top Coat
Sunlight (first three images) & Artificial Lighting (last three images)
Polaris is a bright blue polish with a turquoise to purple shifting shimmer and my favorite holo hex glitters. Another stunner for sure, the shimmer and holo in these is just to die for.
Illyrian Polish Lynx
Three Coats Plus Top Coat
Sunlight (first two images) & Artificial Lighting (last two images)
Lynx is a beautiful dusky teal blue polish with a strong pink to purple to turquoise shimmer and a dusting of holo sparkle. This polish has a slightly jelly formula so I chose to do three thin coats for opacity. It was lovely to work with, and I enjoyed the prominent pink shimmer, which is much stronger in person than I could capture.
Illyrian Polish Cetus
Three Coats Plus Top Coat
Sunlight (first four images) & Artificial Lighting (last five images)
Cetus is a thermal shimmer polish, and it transitions from a blue/purple while cold to a bright turquoise blue when warm, all while maintaining its amazing turquoise shimmer. I have shown it outdoors in transition, here in the 90 degree South Florida sunshine, by using the dip method. Indoors however, the tips of my nails wanted to maintain the cold blurple color. It is a sensitive thermal!
Illyrian Polish Draco
Two Coats Plus Top Coat
Sunlight (first two images) & Artificial Lighting (last two images)
Draco is a stunning blackened navy/teal polish with electrifying blue shimmer and light holo. This polish is drop dead gorgeous.
Illyrian Polish Aquila
Three Coats Plus Top Coat
Sunlight (first three images) & Artificial Lighting (last three images)
Aquila is a dark blue slightly jelly polish absolutely full of shifting metallic flakes in blue to purple to pink to almost copper in the extreme as well as light holo. This one is very unique, the flakes almost make up the entire polish!
Illyrian Polish Moonbow (COTM)
Three Coats Plus Top Coat
Sunlight (first two images) & Artificial Lighting (last three images)
Moonbow. I have no words. This polish has become my favorite Illyrian to date, and has the potential to be my favorite polish ever. Yes, I am currently wearing it on all ten fingers and the thought of removing it makes me want to cry. It is a medium grey, holographic, slightly jelly, multichrome flakie-filled, sparkletastic masterpiece. As far as flakie colors, I see pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. When light hits them, they are mostly pink and orange and they shift to green at an angle. Please, please, do no skip this polish. It is June’s COTM so this may be one of your only chances!
I hope you guys enjoyed the swatches as much as I enjoyed putting together this post. I’m so grateful to Vanessa for giving me the opportunity to show these to you! Remember to pick this collection up, along with the gorgeous Color Of The Month, on Friday, June 30th at 6PM Central.
