Okay, one more post this weekend! I am blessed to have so many opportunities to swatch and blog, since it’s something I truly enjoy doing in my life. It’s definitely a labor of love for me. Tonight I have Part 1 of the Greek Goddesses Collection by Celestial Cosmetics. This is a six piece collection of polishes named for six Greek goddesses. And keep an eye out because Nicki says there will be a Part 2 later this year! This collection is launching on March 11th at 8AM AWST, which translates to March 10th at 7PM EST. They will retail for $11AUD/$10USD each, except for Gaia, which is $12AUD/$11USD. As always, I have to gush about Celestial’s formula. It is perfection! The polish is so easy to manage and I barely ever have to clean up. There were absolutely no issues with application or removal.
Celestial Cosmetics Aphrodite
Three Coats Plus Top Coat, Shown In Sunlight
Named for the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation, Aphrodite is a white-based crelly packed with stormy blue micro flakes which give it a lovely blue shimmer. I’m going to call the base on this one dove grey because of the blue elements.
Celestial Cosmetics Athena
Two Coats Plus Top Coat, Shown In Sunlight
Named for the Greek goddess of wisdom, handicraft, and war, Athena is a soft, dusty pink scattered holographic. The finish is slightly metallic with a bit of a golden glow and, depending on how you polish, this could even be a one coater.
Celestial Cosmetics Gaia
Two Coats Plus Top Coat, Shown In Sunlight
Named for the the personification of the Earth and ancestral Mother of all life, Gaia is a yellow based crelly with a gorgeous orange shimmer and blue and orange color shifting flakies. This has the most amazing formula ever!
Celestial Cosmetics Nyx
Two Coats Plus Top Coat, Shown In Sunlight
Named for the Greek goddess of the night, Nyx is a black based crelly packed with a strong violet shimmer. The shimmer is so strong that it looks like a purple base, but it’s really not. I even had to check when I removed it!
Celestial Cosmetics Selene
Two Coats Plus Top Coat, Shown In Sunlight
Named for the Greek goddess of the moon, Selene is described as a dark purple jelly filled with blue color shifting flakies and a dash of violet microglitter. To me, the base is more navy blue than purple and the flakies shift from green to blue. This polish had the thickest formula out of the bunch, probably due to all the gorgeous flakies, but definitely not too thick. This is another one that could be a one coater for some people.
Celestial Cosmetics Thetis
Three Coats Plus Top Coat, Shown In Sunlight
Named for the Greek goddess of water who is encountered mostly as a sea nymph, Thetis is a green leaning teal based polish with a strong gold shimmer that shifts slightly green. This polish is on the sheer side to allow for the beautiful shimmer to come through.
Those are some gorgeous goddesses! I have to say, my favorite is Thetis. That shimmer just pulls me in! I’m excited to see these on everyone and I can’t wait to see what Part 2 brings!
